Product Overview

Five illumination modes. One compact unit.

The GTP Illuminator replaces five separate lighting products with one configurable unit — reducing cost, cabling and setup time for multi-mode inspection stations.

Ring Light

Circular LED array mounted around the lens axis. Provides even, shadowless illumination on flat surfaces.

Best for

PCB inspection, label reading, surface defect detection

Backlight

Diffuse backlight placed behind the part. Creates a silhouette of the object for precise dimensional measurement.

Best for

Dimensional measurement, presence detection, gap inspection

Dome Light

Hemispherical diffuse illumination that wraps around the part. Eliminates glare on shiny, curved or textured surfaces.

Best for

Reflective metals, curved surfaces, cosmetic inspection

Bar Light

Linear LED array used at low angle (raking) to highlight surface relief and scratches through shadow formation.

Best for

Scratch detection, embossed marking, surface texture inspection

Coaxial Light

Light aligned with the optical axis using a beam splitter. Ideal for highly specular flat surfaces.

Best for

Mirror-finish metals, wafer inspection, flat surface scratches

External trigger input synchronises the illuminator with camera exposure within 1 μs — essential for blur-free inspection of moving parts at line speed.

Applications

The right light for every inspection challenge.

Good lighting is the foundation of every successful vision inspection system. The GTP Illuminator is designed to handle the most demanding scenarios.

Defect Inspection

Ring and raking bar lights reveal surface cracks, pinholes and contamination that direct lighting would miss.

Surface Inspection

Dome and coaxial modes eliminate specular reflection from polished and plated components for clean images.

Transparent Objects

Backlight illumination creates high-contrast silhouettes of glass, plastic and translucent parts for dimensional checks.

Reflective Surfaces

Coaxial lighting paired with polarisation filters removes glare on chrome, stainless and mirror-polished surfaces.
